Celebrate Philly Beer Week With Starr Restaurant!




The Dandelion Hosts Events Including Victory Imperial Brunch, Boilermaker Happy Hour, Beers & Beards, Naked Brewery, and Hobson’s Brewery


Fette Sau and Frankford Hall to host the 4th Annual Fishtown FestivALE


STARR Restaurants will be celebrating the region’s diverse beer scene during the 7th Annual Philly Beer Week, the largest celebration of beer of its kind with hundreds of festivals, dinners, tours, and activities happening throughout Philadelphia from May 29th through June 7th.


The Dandelion will toast to Beer Week with five events. The festivities kick off on Saturday, May 30th, with a Victory Imperial Brunch offering special a la carte menu items among featured beers from 10AM – 3PM. On Monday, June 1st, Yards Brewery and Dad’s Hat Distillery explore the marriage of beer and whiskey in their 2nd Annual Boilermaker Happy Hour featuring Yards Barrel Aged Grand Cru. The following night, the restaurant will welcome Wells and Young’s “Beers & Beards” as they team up with the Philly Beard Society for a Beard Contest with select prizes for winners. On Wednesday evening, Naked Brewery will visit offering special release large format bottles along with beer flights, and the following day Hobsons Brewery joins featuring cask ales in larger format and as flights.


To close out Philly Beer Week, Frankford Hall and Fette Sau will host the 4th Annual Fishtown FestivALE on Saturday, June 6th. The daylong street festival has grown to span two blocks of Frankford Avenue from Girard Avenue to Master Street and will offer double the fun! There will be activities and entertainment for all ages, including carnival games, dunk tank, interactive art installations, two stages with DJ’s, green spaces, food from six restaurants and beer from all over the world!

The Dandelion: Victory Imperial Brunch

Saturday, May 30th

10:00AM – 3:00PM; Pay as you go

Representatives from Victory Brewing Company will be in attendance during brunch the morning after Opening Tap. An array of special Victory Imperial Cask Ales will be offered along with Mad King Weiss and Storm King Stout on draft to accompany classic pub fare bites.

The Dandelion: Yards Brewery and Dad’s Hat Distillery

Monday, June 1st

5:00PM – 8:00PM; Pay as you go

The owners of Yards Brewing and Dad’s Hat Rye team up for the 2nd annual Boilermaker Happy Hour to explore the marriage of beer and whiskey. Yards Barrel Aged Grad Cru will be featured with a selection of cask and draft ales paired with Dad’s Hat Rye Whiskeys.

Tuesday, June 2

4:00PM – 11:00PM; Pay as you go

The Wells and Young’s Brewery teams up with Philly Beard Society to host the first ever Great British Beard-off. Jim Robertson, Head Brewer of Wells and Young’s, will be judging and awarding prizes to contest winners. As contestants are judged, Happy Hour Bombardier will be served in addition to the special Wells and Young’s beer on cask.


The Dandelion: Naked Brewery

Wednesday, June 3

4:00PM – 9:00PM; Pay as you go

Naked Brewery will be offering two drafts and two casks that will feature one sour and one imperial stout. The owners of Naked Brewery, Brian and Jim, will be in attendance. Special release large format bottles and beer flights will be offered.


The Dandelion: Hobson’s Brewery

Thursday, June 4th

5:00PM-8:00PM; Pay as you go

Hobsons Brewery will feature specialty imported British casks so that Philly can be introduced to some of the newest English beers. Casks include Classic Bitter, English Style Porter, and Brown Ale.


Frankford Hall & Fette Sau: Fishtown FestivALE

Saturday, June 6th

12:00PM – 9:00PM, Pay as you go

Frankford Hall and Fette Sau are teaming up with their Frankford Avenue neighbors including Johnny Brenda’s, Bottle Bar East, La Colombe, Fishtown Tavern and more, to host the 4th annual Fishtown FestivALE. The festival will extend through the 1200 + 1300 of Frankford Avenue for a day of food and fun for the whole family.
